Why is Ixtapa so wonderful?

When you first land at the airport you can see all the amazing friendly people, the decor of Mexico and the true Mexican flavour of a true Mexican Fishing Village. Ixtapa was a huge coconut plantation until the late 1970's when they decided that the Pacific coast needed a resort town. The result was Ixtapa. Locals have opened traditional restaurants and tours focusing on the area’s natural beauty. Club Med Ixtapa is the best resort in this region.  Even though you have the children's clubs it is set in a very romantic setting on it's own bay! There are two other restaurants to choose from that endure a very romantic setting.  The other resorts in Ixtapa are very busy most of the time whereas Club Med Ixtapa is very spread out with acres and acres of land!  You can even upgrade to the couples suite!
